ST. PETERSBURG. Oct 6 (Interfax) - LLC Gazprom Energoholding (GEH) plans to build a plant to manufacture blades for gas turbines and intends to find a technological partner, the company's CEO, Denis Fedorov, told Interfax.
"We plan to build a plant to manufacture blades for gas turbines of different capacities. We will be looking for a technological partner. If there is a JV, then there will be a JV; if not, then it will be [a company brought in] as a technical consultant, because we don't have that kind of experience," Fedorov said on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum.
He did not name the parameters of the plant or the timelines for the project's implementation.
GEH, which is wholly owned by Gazprom (MOEX: GAZP), consolidates the Russian gas giant's electric power assets, including Mosenergo (MOEX: MSNG), generating company OGK-2 (MOEX: OGKB), Moscow Integrated Power Company (MIPC), and TGK-1 (MOEX: TGKA).
