Between October 6 and 7, the natural gas price in Europe fell by 24% or USD 393.08 per thousand cubic meters to USD 1,243.95 per thousand cubic meters.
That follows from the TTF trading results posted by the ICE Futures, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
According to them, on October 6, at the close of trading, the gas price was USD 1,319.46 per thousand cubic meters.
At that, in some hours the price of gas on the exchange exceeded USD 1,900 per thousand cubic meters.
As of 3:17 p.m., the gas price dropped to USD 1,243.95 per thousand cubic meters of gas.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine (GTS Operator of Ukraine) LLC state-run enterprise states that Russia's gas monopoly Gazprom was artificially lowering the natural gas reserves in the underground gas storage facilities (USF) of Europe.
