      EOI Submitted For 3.6GW Gas-Fired Power Plant In Saudi Arabia

      News: Around 26 firms have submitted expressions of interest (EOI) in a tender organised by Saudi Power Procurement Company (SPPC) for a 3.6GW Taiba combined cycle gas-fired power plant in Saudi Arabia. Key bidders include Abu Dhabi National Energy Company, Al Jomaih Energy and Water, Alfanar Company, Alghanim International General Trading and Contracting, China Power International Holding, EDF, Elsewedy Electric, General Electric Company, Gulf Investment, and Hyundai Engineering. SPPC plans to sign a 25-year power purchase agreement with the selected developer. The project will be developed under a build, own and operate model. SPPC is being advised by Fichtner, Cranmore and Linklaters (Saudi Gulf Projects).
