MOSCOW. Jan 21 (Interfax) - The Yangpur Oil Company, a subsidiary of Belorusneft, was the only supplier in the natural gas session of the St. Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange (SPIMEX) that boosted deliveries in 2021 relative to 2020.
Sergey Trofimenko, Managing Director for Gas and Electricity Markets, provided data on exchange sales volumes by suppliers.
Novatek (MOEX: NVTK) did not sell gas on the exchange in 2021, it only purchased (bought regularly), the SPIMEX also told Interfax.
Trofimenko added that Gazprom (MOEX: GAZP) slightly increased its trading limit in January trading for February (to be held on January 24).
The exchange said that 6.691 billion cubic meters of gas were sold in the year (58.3% less than the corresponding figure for 2019). Turnover amounted to 25.926 billion rubles. Of the total volume - 4.540 billion cubic meters was for delivery "for the next month", 2.151 billion cubic meters - with delivery "for the day" and "for non-working day n".
The number of participants and their clients in the section is 132.
At the end of the year, 51.3 million cubic meters of gas not dispatched under previously concluded exchange contracts were traded by purchasers, with the number of gas resellers standing at 14.
