    Univ Southwest Petroleum Seeks Patent for Pipe Cleaner Operation Parameter Calculation Method in Natural Gas Pipeline Cleaning Process

      Beijing, April 5 -- Univ Southwest Petroleum has sought patent for pipe cleaner operation parameter calculation method in natural gas pipeline cleaning process. This invention was developed by Li Changjun, Deng Qianxing, Jia Wenlong, Wu Xia, Li Junyi and Zhang Caigong.

      The patent application number is CN202110141011 20210131. The patent publication number is CN112765862 (A). International Patent Classification codes are G06F30/23 and G06F113/14. Cooperative Patent Classification codes are G06F30/23 (CN) and G06F2113/14 (CN).

      An abstract released by the State Intellectual Property Office of China states: "The invention discloses a method for calculating operation parameters of a pipe cleaner in a natural gas pipeline cleaning process. The method comprises the following steps: firstly, collecting basic parameters, operation state parameters and pipe cleaning operation data of the natural gas pipeline; secondly, carrying out discretization of a natural gas pipeline hydraulic system; then determining boundary conditions of pipe cleaning operation according to the pipe cleaning time; then calculating parameters of hydraulic grid nodes by adopting an iterative solution method; and finally, calculating by adopting an interpolation method to obtain the operation parameters of the pipe cleaner in the natural gas pipeline cleaning process. According to the method, the actual pipe cleaning operation condition is fully considered, the calculation method is rapid and stable, the result is accurate and practical, the management basis is provided for evaluating the safety of the natural gas pipeline cleaning operation, the technical support is provided for simulation and prediction of the operation parameters of the pipe cleaner before the actual pipe cleaning operation, and the decision basis is provided for making a pipe cleaning scheme."
