Russian Federation : Kuwait plans to double natural gas production

    September 23, 2022 - TendersInfo - News

Kuwait expects to double its natural gas production. This was stated by the general director of the Kuwait oil corporation Kuwait Petroleum Corporation Nawaf Saud al-Sabah.

We are working in Kuwait to increase gas production to keep up with growing global demand and provide new investment opportunities for petrochemicals. Free gas production currently stands at more tha 500 million cubic feet (about 1.4 million cubic meters), and the goal is to reach one billion cubic feet (about 2.8 million cubic meters)," Prime Saud al-Sabah was quoted as saying.

According to him, Kuwait's strategic plans to increase gas production are aimed at reaching a billion cubic feet, and the country has opportunities to export gas.

In addition, the country sees as a priority maintaining oil production in accordance with the share allocated under the deal between oil-producing states, OPEC +, and the country has the ability to increase production when the market requires it.
