    Russian Federation : US LNG plant Freeport LNG plans to resume production

      Liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant Freeport LNG to resume operations in mid-December. He plans to return to full capacity by March 2023.

      Subject to compliance by Freeport LNG with regulatory requirements, it plans to start production at the plant in mid-December Full production using both docks is expected to begin in March 2023, the operators press office said.

      As of November 14, the reconstruction work required to start initial operations, including the loading of all three liquefaction lines, two LNG storage tanks and one dock, was approximately 90% complete, with all reconstruction work scheduled to be completed by the end of November.

      The company previously said it expects a partial restoration of LNG production at the plant in October, and before that it believed that after the explosion and fire that occurred in early June, the plant would be closed for at least three months. The initial period of downtime due to the need to eliminate the consequences of the accident was generally estimated at three weeks.
