      Original Press Release:

Jan. 18 -- United Engine Corporation issued the following news release:

Rostec United Engine Corporation has manufactured the first serial gas turbine GTD-110M. The unit has been successfully tested at the Ivanovskie CCGT and will be transferred to the Udarnaya TPP in the Krasnodar Territory. Since 2024, it is planned to produce two such power plants annually.

The gas turbine was manufactured by the UEC-Saturn enterprise in Rybinsk, Yaroslavl Region. The engine was produced on schedule in 2022 under a contract between UEC-High Power Turbines and Technopromexport, the company leading the construction of Udarnaya TPP.

The developers of the high-capacity gas turbine are PJSC Inter RAO, the Rosnano Group (EC Gas Turbine Technologies) and the State Corporation Rostec (PJSC UEC-Saturn).

“This is the first domestic high-power turbine, which is embodied in hardware and has reached the stage of mass production. It is focused primarily on the domestic market, and is designed to replace foreign turbines that are not supplied to the country due to sanctions. The needs of power engineers are estimated at several dozen units of such equipment. The first serial turbine will go to the Udarnaya TPP in the Krasnodar Territory. This will reduce the energy shortage in the region and improve the systemic reliability of the energy system in the South of Russia. Starting from 2024, we plan to produce at least two such turbines annually with a further increase in production volumes,” said Vladimir Artyakov , First Deputy General Director of Rostec .

High-capacity turbines GTD-110M will form the basis of the modernization programs for TPPs and GRESs of generating companies. Service maintenance of the units will be carried out by UEC-High Power Turbines (part of the Rostec United Engine Corporation).

“The promising development of the UEC is not inferior to foreign analogues in terms of technical parameters. At the same time, the GTD-110M has smaller weight and size characteristics, which significantly expands the possibilities for delivering a gas turbine engine to customers. The serial product was successfully tested at the Ivanovskie CCGT power plant of PJSC Inter RAO, where it confirmed the declared characteristics in terms of power and stability of operation. In accordance with the instructions of the customer, VO Technopromexport LLC, the turbine will be sent to the Udarnaya TPP,” said Sergey Mikhailov, Deputy Director General of the UEC for Energy and Industrial Programs.

GTD-110M is a serial high-power gas turbine engine designed for use as part of gas turbine power and combined cycle plants at generating facilities of the Unified Energy System of Russia. Previously, turbines of similar power were imported from abroad. The engine is designed to drive electric generators as part of gas turbine power and combined cycle plants with an electric power of 115 MW. Distinctive features of the GTD-110M engine compared to foreign analogues are lower weight and dimensions, as well as high fuel efficiency.

JSC United Engine Corporation (part of the Rostec State Corporation) is an integrated structure specializing in the development, serial production and maintenance of engines for military and civil aviation, space programs and the navy, as well as the oil and gas industry and energy.

Rostec State Corporation is the largest industrial company in Russia. It unites about 800 scientific and industrial organizations in 60 regions of the country. The key areas of activity are aircraft manufacturing, radio electronics, medical technologies, innovative materials, etc. The corporation's products are supplied to more than 100 countries around the world. Almost a third of the company's revenue comes from the export of high-tech products.
