Baku/01.02.23//Turan: European companies have reduced the rate of gas withdrawal from underground storage facilities (UGS), while the level of electricity generation from wind has exceeded the annual average by one and a half times, according to data from Gas Infrastructure Europe and Wind Europe.
Reserves of "blue fuel" in UGS facilities in Europe amount to about 79.7 bcm.
Now European UGSFs are filled to 73.23 percent, which is about 20 p.p. higher than the average for the same day in the previous five years.
The generation of wind power plants (WPPs) on January 30 amounted to 23.7 percent of the total, which is one and a half times higher than the average annual values (about 15 percent) and led to a decrease in demand for gas. --0-
