ScottMadden to Partner with M-WERC to Host Webcast Based on Latest Energy Industry Update

    June 8, 2016 - 6/8/16 Atlanta, GA

ScottMadden, Inc., one of North America’s leading energy consulting firms, is pleased to join forces with M-WERC to present an interactive webcast, “Energy Industry Update,” on Friday, June 10, 2016, from 12:00–1:00 PM EDT. This exclusive webcast, for M-WERC members and partners only, will draw from the latest ScottMadden Energy Industry Update to provide an update on key policy changes that are affecting the energy industry.

Continuing cost declines in distributed resources take place alongside new gas and nuclear plant build. The supply stack is becoming greener, but the Clean Power Plan has been stayed. During this session, Stuart Pearman, partner and energy practice leader, will discuss how the energy industry is changing and how its regulatory and financial moorings are shifting. Key discussion topics will include:

      ·        Energy Industry Macro Trends

      ·        A Changing Resource Mix

      ·        Adapting the Utility Model

      ·        Getting Markets and Rules Right

      ·        Energy Transitions in Hawaii

      ·        Insights on the Role of the Utility

      ·        Cybersecurity as Information Technology and Operational Technology Concerns Are Converging

“Our ScottMadden Energy Industry Update is themed, ‘Neither Fish Nor Fowl.’ It is a time in our energy utility industry of startling contrasts. Things are neither quite the way they were, nor quite the way they will be. We are excited to share our thoughts about the industry with M-WERC members and partners, as a backdrop to their innovative work,” said Mr. Pearman.
