ScottMadden to Sponsor and Present at Duke University Energy Conference

    October 25, 2016 - October 25, 2016

ScottMadden, Inc., a general management consulting firm, will sponsor and present at this year's Duke University Energy Conference to be held on November 2, 2016, at The Fuqua School of Business at Geneen Auditorium in Durham, NC. Led by students, this annual event is aimed at bringing together thought leaders in the industry, government, and academia to fuel independent analysis on energy markets, trends, policies, and technologies.

Cristin Lyons, partner and grid transformation practice leader at ScottMadden, will join a panel discussion entitled "Challenges and Opportunities for Distributed Energy Resources." The panel will take a comprehensive look at the present and future state of distributed energy resources (DER) through multiple lenses. This will include a discussion of the technical challenges of having an increasingly distributed power generation capacity, the utility business model, and policy changes required to unlock value for stakeholders.

"The integration of DERs is one of the most critical issues the energy industry faces today. In order to integrate these resources, the industry and third parties need to collaborate to develop both technical and policy solutions that work for all stakeholders," said Ms. Lyons.
