Sunwave Gas & Power Goes Live on EC Infosystems EDI and Billing/CIS Platform

    November 28, 2016 - UNIONDALE, NY –November 29, 2016

Smooth system migration to a new billing and customer information solution system provides added functionality and ease of use to accelerate customer acquisitions in four state markets.

EC Infosystems, a leader in Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and Billing/Customer Information Solutions (CIS) for clients in the deregulated energy industry, today announced that Sunwave Gas & Power has successfully gone live on the company's UtilibillT integrated EDI and Billing/CIS platform. Sunwave Gas & Power supplies retail electric power to homeowners and business consumers across North America.

EC Infosystems signed the Billing/CIS and EDI contract with Sunwave Gas & Power in July, 2016. The initial deployment covers a four-state service territory that includes Connecticut, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and Ohio. It is anticipated that this new system will enable Sunwave Gas & Power to more quickly acquire and activate customers in these four states.

"We needed to upgrade to a more responsive, real-time system that could make the enrollment process simple and efficient for both Sunwave and our customers," said Rob Weir, President, Sunwave Gas & Power. "The UtilibillT platform gives us greater visibility into our data and processes, makes it easy for us to set up customers with new products, and seamlessly integrates with our partners' systems. We are also impressed with EC Infosystems' top-notch customer service and established success in the Northeast markets where we are rapidly expanding our customer base."

"As more and more energy retailers upgrade their CIS/Billing systems by signing up with EC Infosystems, we have become extremely proficient in migrating new customers onto our Utilibill platform," said EC Infosystems President and CEO, Mohan Wanchoo. "The fact that we offer a hosted software model that is already integrated with our EDI services help make the transition for new customers smooth and efficient."

"Contract signoff to go-live in four markets took less than 4 months," added Ananda Goswami, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at EC Infosystems. "We will continue to tailor the solution and workflows to meet Sunwave's growing needs."
