ScottMadden to Review Key Issues Facing Electric Power Industry

    April 16, 2018 - ScottMadden

ScottMadden, Inc., one of North America’s leading energy consulting firms, is proud to sponsor and present at Edison Electric Institute’s (EEI) Strategic Issues Roundtable being held April 18–20 at the Andaz San Diego in San Diego, CA. This meeting provides a unique opportunity to discuss and debate critical issues facing the electric power industry with key players.

How do you prioritize cyber security risks more strategically? How can you measure the success of your program? Ann Goza, FHO director at Duke Energy, will be joined by Luke Martin, director at ScottMadden, to present, “Cyber Security Strategy.” This interactive session will identify an approach to educate workers, change employee behaviors, and influence the compliance culture to develop a more strategic cyber security program.

“Our work with Duke Energy has focused on building the foundation for a sustainable cyber security program, which focuses on these key fundamentals: understanding where there are gaps, setting clear expectations and defining roles and responsibilities, training employees, and using a proactive, layered cyber defense approach to ensure success,” explains Mr. Martin.

ScottMadden will also sponsor the Networking Reception and Dinner, which is always a great opportunity to get together with utility executives and industry experts. ScottMadden is proud to be a continuing and longstanding supporter of EEI’s Strategic Issues Roundtable and looks forward to being a part of this year’s conversation.
