ScottMadden’s Energy Industry Update Focuses on Grid Modernization Efforts Around the Nation

    December 6, 2018 - ScottMadden

ScottMadden, Inc., one of North America’s leading management consulting firms specializing in energy, has released its latest edition of The Energy Industry Update (EIU). Themed “Don’t Stop Believin’,” this EIU explores, among other things, various approaches to grid modernization by utilities around the nation.

Grid modernization has moved to the forefront of utility planning as utilities, customers, and regulators seek to enhance customer engagement, improve reliability and resiliency, and more efficiently use grid assets. This Update highlights how states and utilities are testing the waters.

The discussion in this latest Update draws upon ScottMadden’s experience in major grid modernization programs. ScottMadden has a proven approach and methodology to assist in every aspect of grid modernization, from developing the strategy to identifying critical investments and creating a roadmap to managing the implementation.

“In this latest Energy Industry Update and in other insights, we’ve been able to share some lessons and observations from a number of grid modernization efforts that our consultants have led,” says Cristin Lyons, partner and energy practice leader at ScottMadden. “Our experience ‘in the trenches’ of these efforts, working shoulder-to-shoulder with our clients, has given us practical experience with what works (and what doesn’t) in grid modernization programs.”

If you were not able to join our Energy Industry Update webcast, the complimentary recording is now available. Hear what our industry experts have to say about changes to grid modernization efforts around the nation, evolving federal policy toward wholesale energy infrastructure development, and opportunities for and possible trade-offs with increased electrification in this session replay. You may also hear more about their original analysis in this new video.
