EC Infosystems Signs Start-Up Grand Energy for EDI/Billing Services

    September 29, 2020 - September 29, 2020

UNIONDALE, N.Y. – September 29, 2020 – EC Infosystems, a leader in Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and Billing/Customer Information Solutions (CIS) for companies in the deregulated energy industry, has announced a partnership with Grand Energy, Inc. for billing/cis and EDI services.

Grand Energy intends to focus on the residential customer segment in the PJM market, initially in New Jersey and quickly expanding into Pennsylvania and Ohio shortly thereafter. The company will offer both electric and gas supply services.

“EC Infosystems’ partnership with Grand Energy represents our commitment to supporting emerging energy retailers as they enter into new territories and customer sectors,” says EC Infosystems’ President and CEO, Mohan Wanchoo. “Our national presence in 23 states with over 120 electric and natural gas utilities makes EC Infosystems an ideal fit for any expansion-focused start-up.”

As a sister company to New York retailer, High Rise Energy, Grand Energy and their veteran executive team bring a wealth of deregulated experience, boasting over 10 years of retail expertise. High Rise Energy has been a longstanding EC Infosystems’ EDI and Billing/CIS client since 2015

“Our decision to launch Grand Energy, a parallel residential-focused retailer, alongside our thriving commercial business was a strategic one,” explains Brian Willetts, CEO of Grand Energy. “However, there was no question as to whether we would work with EC Infosystems for our new venture, given our longstanding and successful partnership and High Rise’s success in the commercial segment.”

“Amidst a global pandemic and this pivotal time in deregulated energy, we are encouraged by new market entrants like Grand Energy,” says Ananda Goswami, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for EC Infosystems. “EC Infosystems looks forward to partnering with them as they seek to complement their existing and successful commercial business.”

EC Infosystems offers customized contract and pricing structures for emerging energy ventures across all deregulated markets. In partnering with start-up suppliers as well as established energy companies, EC Infosystems offers advanced, scalable, and flexible technologies, streamlining retail back-office environments of all sizes through a unified EDI/billing solution.
