Faced with the escalation of electricity pool prices, and ahead of the measures of the Government and the rest of the sector, Naturgy has decided to take a step forward to put itself, once again, at the service of society with a comprehensive plan to mitigate the effects on consumers and the real economy of the current electricity price crisis. Specifically, the company has launched the "Commitment" initiative, a new solution at prices comparable to those prior to the current rise in the wholesale market. The company will offer all its infra-marginal electricity generation capacity available to its customers (residential, commercial and industrial) at an energy price of 65 E/MWh for three years. With this measure Naturgy will allow its customers to decouple their bills from the volatility of the pool price, demonstrating its commitment and social sensitivity in the long term.the president of Naturgy, Francisco Reynés, stressed that "once again, as we did during the toughest stage of the pandemic, we have launched a measure to respond to an exceptional situation. All in all, Naturgy once again puts the customer at the center of its initiatives as a sign of its commitment and transparency with the current reality, the company has always been sensitive to the different casuistry and situations in which its customers may find themselves and that may compromise the payment of the supply. For this reason, for example, it facilitates the continuity of supply by offering different payment mechanisms, such as, for example, splitting the debt into several instalments, or not cutting off supply during holiday periods. This policy was intensified during the State of Alarm and the company also launched a series of measures aimed at supporting the needs of its customers, including SMEs and the self-employed, including offering them the possibility of deferring payment of their bills in instalments that best suit their possibilities, without any initial payment and without any interest. And in addition to what the Royal Decree established for supply cuts, it also did not claim the outstanding debt to its customers.Naturgy has always carried out a proactive policy to protect vulnerable customers.
