    California generates 160 GWh of green electricity on Tuesday

      November 17 (Renewables Now) - Renewable power generation in California, excluding large hydro, rose to 159,557 MWh on November 16 from 140,826 MWh in the previous day, according to data by the California Independent System Operator Corp (ISO).

      Wind farms in the US state doubled their output to 66,318 MWh, more than offsetting a drop in solar photovoltaic (PV) power generation to 55,468 MWh from 66,388 MWh on November 15.

      Solar thermal power plants added 958 MWh to the solar total, 63.68% less than a day earlier.

      On November 16, power generation by small hydro and geothermal power plants stood at 4,555 MWh and 21,492 MWh, respectively.
