    Sen. Daines Introduces Bill to Promote Domestic Energy Production

      WASHINGTON, Nov. 18 -- Sen. Steve Daines, R-Mont., has introduced legislation (S. 3214) to "promote domestic energy production, to require onshore oil and natural gas lease sales, development of renewable energy on public lands, and offshore oil and natural gas and wind lease sales."

      The bill was introduced on Nov. 16 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Cindy Hyde-Smith, R-Miss., Roger Marshall, R-Kan., Cynthia M. Lummis, R-Wyo., and James Lankford, R-Okla. It was referred to the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee.
