    California produces 144.5 GWh of green electricity on Sunday

      November 22 (Renewables Now) - Renewable power generation in California, excluding large hydro, inched up to 144,545 MWh on November 21 from 141,496 MWh in the previous day, according to data by the California Independent System Operator Corp (ISO).

      Wind farms in the US state produced 40,232 MWh, up by 7.68%, while solar photovoltaic (PV) generation was more or less flat at 65,599 MWh.

      Solar thermal power plants added to the solar total 2,638 MWh, an increase of 9.73% day-on-day.

      California also produced a total of 20,705 MWh of geothermal power yesterday, while power generation by small hydropower plants (SHPPs) reached 3,671 MWh.
