Chinese premier congratulates grid connection of Senj Wind Farm

    December 7, 2021 - Xinhua News Agency

BEIJING, Dec. 7 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Li Keqiang on Tuesday sent a congratulatory message to the ceremony of grid connection of the Senj Wind Farm project, which was jointly built by China and Croatia.

The project follows market principles and international norms, Li said, and is significant for promoting China-EU green and low-carbon cooperation as well as green recovery and sustainable development.

It is a high-quality project jointly built by China and Croatia, setting a good example for cooperation between the two countries and the China-Central and Eastern European countries (CEEC) cooperation, Li added.

According to Li, while upholding the spirit of consultation and joint contribution, China and Croatia have overcome the challenge of the COVID-19 pandemic, and finally reaped the fruits of cooperation, which injected new impetus to bilateral relations and China-CEEC cooperation.

Noting that China is implementing the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) for National Economic and Social Development and the Long-Range Objectives Through the Year 2035, Li said China will ground its efforts in the new development stage, apply the new development philosophy, create a new pattern of development, and promote high-quality development, which will provide more cooperation opportunities for the Central and Eastern European countries, including Croatia.

He said that China and Croatia are fully capable of deepening cooperation with a more active attitude and at a greater pace, and creating more landmark cooperation projects between China and the Central and Eastern European countries, so that the people of the two countries can benefit from it.
