The steam and gas power plant worth $150mn begins supplying electricity

    January 17, 2022 - UzReport

Tashkent, Jan. 15 -- The steam and gas power plant with a capacity of 240 MW in Kibray on January 14, 2022 began supplying power to Uzbekistan's electricity network. It is expected that the thermal power plant would generate 2 bn kWh of electricity per year.

Due to the high efficiency of the devices, 290 million cubic meters of natural gas have been saved per year. The saved natural gas will generate an additional 1bn kWh of electricity.

The project worth $150mn was implemented by the Turkish company Aksa Enerji at the expense of direct investments. Published by HT Digital Content Services with permission from UzReport.
