      Neoen Starts Work On First Phase Of Goyder Hybrid Power Project In South Australia

      News: Neoen has started early construction works on first phase of the AUD3.0bn (USD2.16bn) Goyder wind-solar-plus-storage hybrid power project in South Australia. The overall scheme includes phased installation of around 1.2GW of wind, 600MW of solar and 900MW/1,800GWh of battery storage capacity. The first phase includes a 412MW wind farm, called Goyder South Stage 1. Neoen has provided a notice to proceed to a consortium of GE Renewable Energy and Elecnor. The first phase will feature 75-units of the GE 5.5-158 Cypress platform turbines, with operations scheduled to begin in 2024. Major construction works will start in Q222 (Renewables Now).
