Called Caledonia, the offshore wind project will come up on a 440sq km site, with the possibility of using a portion of the plant’s output for green hydrogen production. The JV will start development with the publication of an environmental impact scoping report early in 2023. The wind project is due to be completed by the end of 2040, according to a press release from Engie.
