Ibitu Energia Starts Work On 1GW Solar Complex In Piaui, Brazil

News: Ibitu Energia has started construction works on a 1GW solar power complex in the Brazilian state of Piaui. Called the Caldeirao Grande II, the proposed BRL4.0bn (USD724.9mn) photovoltaic (PV) project will be developed in three phases and includes an initial investment of BRL1.0bn (USD181.2mn). The PV facility will come up on an 8sq km site in the municipality of Caldeirao Grande and will feature 2.5mn solar panels (Renewables Now).
