News: Ofgem has launched a tender for ownership and operation of electricity links to connect the 1.1GW Seagreen Phase I offshore wind farm in Scottish waters. Bidders will compete to become offshore transmission owners of the assets, which will link the wind farm to the UK mainland near Carnoustie in Angus. The wind farm, located off the Angus Coast in the Firth of Forth, will feature 114-units of Vestas Wind Systems' V164-10.0MW turbines. The facility is a joint venture between SSE Renewables (49%) and TotalEnergies (51%), according to a press release from Ofgem.
