GE Renewable Energy Signs Contract To Modernise 88MW Hydropower Plant In US

News: GE Renewable Energy has signed a contract with Avista Utilities for modernisation of the Long Lake hydropower plant on the Spokane River in US. The contract includes the modernisation of four generator units. The scope of work includes the complete renewal and supply of the stators, poles, fans and spider/rim designs. The modernisation works will increase the installed capacity to 100 MW from existing 88MW. First modernised unit is scheduled to enter operations at the end of 2024, while the last unit will be operational in 2029 (Hydro Review).
