TechnipFMC-Magnora JV Wins 500MW Floating Offshore Wind Project In Scotland

News: A joint venture (JV) between TechnipFMC and Magnora has won exclusive rights to develop a 500MW floating offshore wind project in Scotland. The wind facility is part of ScotWind offshore wind tender organised by Crown Estate Scotland. Called the Magnora Offshore Wind, the facility will come up on 100sq km site and will feature 33 semi-submersible floating wind turbines of 15MW each. The JV plans to secure consent in 2026 and conclude the final investment decision in 2028. The overall project is due to be completed in 2030, according to a press release from TechnipFMC.
