MidAmerican Submits Proposal For 2.1GW Wind, Solar Projects In Iowa, US

News: MidAmerican Energy, a unit of Berkshire Hathaway, has submitted a proposal with the Iowa Utilities Board for the construction of 2.1GW wind and solar projects in the US state. Called Wind PRIME, the USD3.9bn hybrid scheme includes the installation of 2.04GW of wind and 50MW of solar photovoltaic power plants. MidAmerican Energy expects a review on the application by October 31 2022. Subject to approval, construction is expected to be complete in late 2024 (Renewables Now).
