BOEM Approves COP Plan For 132MW Wind Project In New York, US

News: The US Bureau of Ocean Energy Management has approved construction and operations plan for Ørsted and Eversource Energy's 132MW South Fork wind project in New York, US. Haugland Energy Group will install a duct bank system, while Kiewit Offshore Services is managing the fabrication work for a 1,500 tonnes offshore substation. Long Island Power Authority and Public Service Enterprise Group Long Island will purchase electricity from the wind farm. Installation of monopile foundations and 11MW Siemens Gamesa turbines is expected to begin in Q323, with operations expected to begin at the end of 2023 (Renewables Now).
