Industry demands compensation for "exorbitant" electricity prices

The industry has to deal with many disruptive factors. Energy prices have risen sharply, inflation is at a ten-year high and many raw materials and intermediate products are still difficult to obtain. In addition, there is the permanent problem of the shortage of skilled workers. In spite of all this, the Federation of Austrian Industries (IV) expects a moderate continuation of an industry-driven upswing. However, there are calls for state compensation for the "exorbitant electricity prices".
