January 26 (Renewables Now) - Danish renewables developer European Energy A/S has secured financing for five wind projects in Poland with a combined capacity of 44.7 MW, the firm said on Wednesday.
Project finance in the amount of EUR 53.5 million (USD 60.4m) was granted by German lender Norddeutsche Landesbank Girozentrale (NORD/LB) and Denmark’s export credit agency EKF. Law firm Watson Farley & Williams advised the lenders on financing matters.
Construction of the wind farms started in 2021. European Energy expects the five of them to reach commercial operation date (COD) in the first half of 2022, it said.
The Danish company opened office in Warsaw in 2021. It says it has over 2 GW of wind and solar projects in its development pipeline in Poland.
