January 27 (Renewables Now) - Estonian renewables developer Enefit Green AS (TAL:EGR1T) announced today that it has taken investment decisions (FID) on 27 MW of wind and solar power projects at home and in Poland.
The Tallinn-based firm plans to invest around EUR 28 million (USD 31.2m) to build a 21-MW wind farm in Purtse, Estonia. It says it will erect five turbines there and have the Purtse wind farm in operation in 2023.
Enefit Green landed this project in March 2021 after acquiring its previous owner Raunistal.
In Poland, the company will install a 6-MW solar farm in the village of Debnik with an investment of some EUR 4 million. The project was acquired at the end of 2020.
The Debnik solar farm is due to go online in 2023.
These investment decisions are part of Enefit Green’s plan to more than double its installed power generation capacity to 1,100 MW by 2025, the company added.
