Planning Permission Secured For 350MW Battery Energy Storage System In England, UK

News: Penso Power and Luminous Energy have secured planning permission to install the 350MW Hams Hall battery energy storage system (BESS) in the West Midlands of England. Welbar Energy Storage—a consortium of Penso Power, Luminous and BW Group—will deliver the project. The BESS facility, supported by funds from BW Group, is planned to come up in North Warwickshire and is expected to provide more than 1.7GWh of storage capacity, according to a press release from Penso Power.
