Atome Signs PPA For 60MW Hydropower Project In Paraguay

News: UK-based Atome Energy has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with ANDE, the state electricity and power distribution company of Paraguay, to secure power from existing hydro-electric power plants in the country. As per the PPA, Atome will secure 60MW electricity for a large-scale hydrogen and ammonia production facility, which is expected to produce around 55,000 tonnes of green ammonia per annum in Villeta. Atome intends to advance with the project's design and procurement, with a final investment decision likely to conclude in H222. The proposed complex is planned to be operational in three years (Renewables Now).
