Spain's Audax starts building 6.87-MWp solar farm at home

    May 10, 2022 - SeeNews Renewables

May 10 (Renewables Now) - Spanish renewable power and gas supplier Audax Renovables SA (BME:ADX) said today that it has started construction works on its 6.87-MWp La Miranda solar PV project in the Guadalajara province of Spain.

The company expects the investment in the project to reach some EUR 4.3 million (USD 4.5m), it said.

The La Miranda solar farm will be equipped with close to 12,500 modules of 550 Wp and 1-axis trackers from a tier-1 supplier. Once in operation, the plant is expected to generate some 12.2 GWh of power per year, Audax said.

The new project takes Audax back to Guadalajara’s municipality of Fontanar, where the company built its first solar farm, the Canamares. That plant is fully up and running and “performing better than expected”, Audax added.
