May 10 (Renewables Now) - German investment company CEE Group has acquired a 13.8-MW wind project in the north of the state of Baden-Wuerttemberg from renewables developer ABO Wind AG (ETR:AB9).
The Hainstadt-Buchen wind farm will be built in the Neckar-Odenwald district and will feature four Vestas V126 turbines each of 3.45 MW with a hub height of 149 meters.
ABO Wind has planned the project and is already working on the first preparatory construction measures.
Once operational in January 2023, the wind park is expected to generate 31 million kWh per year and supply about 26,000 people, offsetting some 24,000 tonnes of carbon emissions annually.
After the commissioning, ABO Wind will be responsible for the technical management of the wind park.
“With the Hainstadt-Buchen wind farm, we are consistently expanding our portfolio of renewable energy generation plants. For the second time within a year, we have once again worked together with ABO Wind AG on this project in a very trusting and cooperative manner, but above all in a solution-oriented manner," said CEE Group's chief executive Detlef Schreiber.
Hamburg-based CEE Group has onshore wind parks with an installed capacity of around 622 MW and 38 photovoltaic plants with around 718 MWp.
