Baku/16.05.22//Turan: Electricity production in Azerbaijan in January-April 2022 increased by 3.3% compared to the same period last year - up to 9 billion 240.1 million kW/h, reported the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
According to the Ministry of Energy, in January-April this year, thermal power plants in Azerbaijan produced 8 billion 621.3 million kW/h (an increase of 232.6 million kW/h), hydroelectric power plants - 492.6 million kW/h (an increase of 52 .2 million kWh).
Electricity generation from alternative sources amounted to 126.2 million kWh (an increase of 7.4 million kWh). In particular, 32.2 million kW/h were generated at wind power plants, 18 million kW/h at solar stations, and 76 million kW/h at the solid waste incineration plant.
Export of electricity from Azerbaijan for the period under review amounted to 518.6 million kW/h (decline by 6.4% or 35.4 million kW/h), import of electricity - 40.7 million kW/h (decline by 14% or 6. 6 million kWh). -0-
