Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Ltd., (SJVN), a hydroelectric power generation and transmission company, has agreed to invest INR49000 million in construction and development of Arun IV hydropower project situated in Nepal. The total installed capacity of the power plant will be 490 MW. The investment per MW will be USD1.2 million

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the development of the Arun IV hydro electric project has been signed in Lumbini, Nepal in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Prime Minister of Nepal Sher Bahadur Deuba.
