MIBRAG Seeks Permit For 60MW Onshore Wind Project In Germany

News: Mitteldeutsche Braunkohlengesellschaft (MIBRAG) has sought a permit from the environmental office of the German state of Saxony-Anhalt for the construction of the 60MW Profen II wind project near an opencast mine in the state. The firm plans to invest around EUR70mn (USD73.6mn) to deliver the facility, which would feature 10 units of 6MW wind turbines and is expected to produce around 160GWh of clean power per annum. Subject to the necessary permit, construction work on the facility is expected to start in Q223, with operations slated to begin in 2025 (Renewables Now).
