The work, valued at $329.4 million, will be put out to bid in 15 days and will take 270 days to complete. It aims to create a public space that will include wind, photovoltaic and solar thermal microgenerators, in addition to reforesting the land and incorporating bicycle lanes. This is the final stage of the project, which includes the decommissioning of the power plant, the construction of a transformer station and the dismantling of the old plant.
On June 6, the Empresa Provincial de Energía will put out to tender the construction of the so-called Parque de las Energías, a public space to be located in part of the 7.9 hectares of the Deán Funes Complex, where the company's power plant, which will be deactivated, is currently operating.
