May 20 (Renewables Now) - Stockholm-based renewables developer OX2 said that it has handed over the 286-MW Andberg wind farm in Sweden to its owner, French private investment house Ardian.
Andberg is OX2’s second largest wind farm commissioned in Sweden, the developer said.
OX2 acquired the project in 2018 and proceeded to develop it in the region of Harjedalen. In 2019, the company sold Andberg to Ardian but remained involved with the project as the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor.
Andberg features 53 units of Nordex N149 5.4 MW wind turbines and can generate some 800 GWh of power per year. Part of the wind farm’s output was placed with Swedish municipal power company Skelleftea Kraft under a ten-year power purchase agreement (PPA).
OX2 will be in charge of the technical and commercial management of the wind farm, the company added.
