Locusview Unveils Digital Construction Management (DCM) Solution for Electric Utilities at DISTRIBUTECH 2022

    May 23, 2022 - 5/23/22

DALLAS, TX (May 23, 2022)Locusview, a Digital Construction Management (DCM) company for energy infrastructure organizations, after more than two and a half years of product development, large-scale pilots, and collaboration with several large utility organizations, today unveiled its solution for Electric Utilities at Distributech 2022. Featuring a seamless digital construction workflow, Locusview can now help electric utilities expedite the collection and movement of high fidelity data from start to finish of planned long-cycle construction projects, enabling highly accurate digital data capture and real-time integration into GIS, speeding ADMS updates & increasing grid reliability.

“Electric utilities manage construction differently than gas utilities and primarily work from detailed designs,” said Sassi Idan, Chief Product Officer of Locusview. “With this release, Locusview provides support for the translation of complex GWD information to a format field crews can work with, enabling them to easily capture high-fidelity data and quickly integrate it directly into their systems of record such as GIS, ADMS, OMS, and WMS.”

In this release, Locusview unveils new capabilities for the integration of Compatible Unit (CU) and Graphic Work Design (GWD) data that allow field crews to build from a design and reference what, where, and how work was completed during construction. Locusview also includes a new redlining feature that streamlines and validates data capture to as-built, making the data far more reliable and accurate.

“Utilities are expected to harden aging infrastructure to meet storm threats and perform undergrounding to protect against wildfires all while ensuring power quality and DER readiness in the face of intensifying cost pressures and scarcity of personnel,” said Shahar Levi, Co-Founder and CEO of Locusview “With Locusview, infrastructure construction projects are delivered faster with quicker closeouts and minimized rework, optimizing capital investments, streamlining workflows, and ensuring high customer satisfaction.”
