State Grid Completes Construction Of 8GW Baihetan-Jiangsu UHVDC Power Transmission Line In China

News: State-owned electric utility, State Grid, has completed the construction works of the 800kV Baihetan-Jiangsu ultra-high-voltage direct current (UHVDC) power transmission line in China. The 2,080km long transmission line project will deliver the output from the 16GW Baihetan hydroelectric facility plant in the Sichuan province to the Jiangsu province. The transmission line would reach 8GW power transmission capacity and more than 31TWh of electricity per annum. The project will be completely operational by the end of 2022 (Enerdata).
