Bishkek, May 23, 2022 / Kabar /. The construction of the Kambarata Hydro Power Plant (HPP) - 1 will begin in the coming days, Minister of Energy of Kyrgyzstan Doskul Bekmurzaev wrote on his Facebook page.

The official wrote that during a working trip to Jalal-Abad Oblast, he visited the construction site of a hydroelectric dam, diversion channels and a turbine hall, discussed with hydroconstructors the progress of preparation of the first stage of the project implementation, clearing and construction of access roads to the hydroelectric dam.

“The eyes are afraid, but the hands are doing! For us, this is a very important project that will ensure the energy security of our country. Now we will direct all our efforts to the construction of the Kambarata hydroelectric power station, and I guarantee that we will receive incredible benefits after the construction is completed.

I note that with the construction of Kambar-Ata-1, we will achieve a positive multiplier effect on the development of the economy of Kyrgyzstan, in particular, we will provide new jobs for our migrants, which is a big impetus for the development of the whole cluster,” the minister wrote.
