Third Pillar Solar Submits Proposal For 150MW Floating Solar Project In Texas, US

News: Third Pillar Solar has filed an application with the Texas Comptroller's office to build a 150MW floating solar project on Dow Chemical's Brazoria Reservoir in the US state. Called the Cypress Floating Solar, the proposed facility would span 1.8sq km of area. According to the application, Third Pillar intends to invest around USD231.4mn in the project. The applicant has also sought tax incentives under Chapter 313 of the Texas Tax Code to develop the project. Subject to necessary approval, the floating solar project is expected to be operational in late 2025 (Houston Business Journal).
