Simec Atlantis Signs Contract For 230MW BESS In Wales, UK

News: SIMEC Atlantis Energy has signed a contract with Uskmouth Energy Storage, a portfolio company of Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners, to deliver a 230MW/460MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) in Wales, UK. The BESS is part of the Uskmouth power station conversion project. Under the agreement, Uskmouth Energy will own and operate the facility. SIMEC is seeking permission for the BESS and a modification to its grid-connection agreement. The BESS is likely to be operational by the end of 2024 (Renewables Now).
