    Turkmenistan and UNIDO develop cooperation in field of hydrogen energy

      Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the UN Headquarters in Vienna (Austria) Silapberdi Nurberdiyev met with the new Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Gerd Mueller, Trend reports citing the Turkmenistan Golden Age online newspaper.

      During the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of new joint projects in the field of hydrogen energy.

      UNIDO attaches great importance to the development of relations with Turkmenistan, and also stressed the urgency of strengthening cooperation in areas of mutual interest, Mueller said.

      At the same time, Nurberdiyev said that Turkmenistan pays special attention to strengthening partnerships with UNIDO in the field of "green" initiatives to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

      At the meeting, the Director General of UNIDO was also informed about major economic projects initiated by Turkmenistan.
