Solar and wind power plants will be launched in Kyrgyzstan this year

June 3, 2022 - Central Asian News Service

Kyrgyzstan, June 3 -- Solar and wind power plants will be launched in Kyrgyzstan this year, said Head of the Association of Renewable Energy Sources in Kyrgyzstan Kunduz Kuibasheva during the round table discussion of the energy sector development.

For the last 2 years, the sector has seen a state support in the form of exemption from VAT, income tax. Now a bill on renewable energy sources is being considered, she said.

She also said that there are political moments in this matter, too. In this regard, the participants of the sector should meet more often and come to a consensus.
