Renewables: Rays Experts to Commission the World’s Largest Solar Park in Rajasthan with a 3000MWp Capacity

    June 6, 2022 - Chemical Industry Digest

Rays Experts, the largest solar park developer in India is poised to achieve yet another milestone by setting up the world’s largest solar park in India. The 9,000-acre solar park at Bikaner, Rajasthan has a capacity of up to 3,000 MWp. It has signed the necessary transmission agreements and obtained all approvals for the same. This is the first and only 100 percent privately owned ultra-mega solar park in the country connected to the central transmission system. All the other major solar parks made in the past are partly or fully government-owned.

This solar park will be ready to move infrastructure for multiple solar developers who can save huge costs and time as land, transmission lines, etc are already arranged. Currently, the transmission capacity availability in the network is the biggest open risk for solar developers and this solar park addresses the same to a large extent.

From developing the concept to its commissioning, Rays Experts offers services across every level of solar power project development. Due to its market presence, Raya Experts holds a 100 percent market share of private solar park projects in Rajasthan and Haryana with a 95 percent customer retention ratio.

Rahul Gupta MD and CEO, Rays Experts says, “It is remarkable to see how the Indian renewable energy industry has advanced in the last few years. To achieve the 300 GW target by 2030, we are doing our bit. In the current tariff levels, only the project with low return expectations can survive and lowering the project risk can only help in lowering the return expectations.

Our solar park is a major factor in risk reduction for solar developers. They will not have to face the surprises after winning the project as the land, transmission line etc. will already be in control at the time of bidding. As one of the early movers in this space, we are extremely proud to prepare the largest solar park in the world, which will further strengthen our position as a global leader in the solar industry. We are also grateful to the Rajasthan government for this project and look forward to a long-lasting relationship to promote cleaner and greener energy solutions for future generations to come.”

Over the last ten years, Rays Expert has established 2000 MW Solar Parks namely Corneight Solar Park, Jaisalmer, Kolayat Solar Park, Gajner Solar Park, Siwani Solar Park, and Mandsaur Solar Park in Rajasthan, Haryana, and Madhya Pradesh. Soltown Solar Park will soon join the list as one of the largest solar parks in the world.
