Pampa Energia is investing US$128mil expanding one of its three wind farms the PEPE III utility at Coronel Rosales, due for completion by Feb 2023. The company is also looking for solar power generating projects that would side with its 15 conventional fossil fuel thermal plants that account for 12,3% of the Argentinean installed power generating capacity. It have other three hydroelectric power plants.
As of end 2021 Argentina had a total renewable power capacity generating of 5,5 Gw, or 13% of the overall capacity - wind far capacity as of April was 3,2961 Mw and solar farms 1,065 Mw
